I am an active freelance evangelist and a founder of FreelanceCamp. Along with speaking at conferences (SXSW, Future of Work, eBay), I love to write and have published numerous articles (Mashable, CopyBlogger, A List Apart, FreelanceSwitch).
When I'm not working I'm heavily involved in social good projects, focusing on helping local government run efficiently and transparently with financial responsibility. And when I sneak away, I surf some of the best waves in the world courtesy of living in Santa Cruz, CA and cuddle my lovely wife & daughter.

Mile 2 with Sassy
That girl can go!!! About mile 1.5 Sassy decided she was done being in the stroller. She joined me for 1/2 a mile while mom, grandpa and aunt kris ran behind us (and then scooted ahead to take photos). If we could all run / skip with the joy and abandon of my 2 year old there would be no obesity and very few frowns.

Sassy’s First Wave!!
MY little lass sassy just caught her first surfing wave. What an awesome smile. Not bad for a fairly reserved 2.5 year old. Must be the awesome princess pink wetsuit and lifejacket. I’ve been dreaming of this for a long time.

Bike fitting
Did my first round of bike fittings. Turns out this is a fairly long process. 58cm frame as I have a long torso for a guy my height (is that a nice way to say I have short legs?). Sassy and I went trick-or-treating yesterday. I expected to be out 30 minutes or so, but it turns out, my girl was committed.
