Eventbrite for The Events Calendar 1.6

We have just released a significant update to our companion WordPress plugin Eventbrite for the Events Calendar. The plugin allows you to:

* Sell tickets directly from your post
* Extensive template tags for customization
* MU Compatible
* Many of the amazing features of Eventbrite – directly from WordPress
* Use shortcode to place any event ticketing on any post

New features for Release 1.6:

* Import event info from Eventbrite by event id number.
* Payment options now specified from post edit
* Improved error handling and reporting
* Updated to new Eventbrite logo

Over the next weeks, we will watch the forums and do a few small dot releases to fix bugs. Please don’t post requests for help here (I’ll ignore them), use the WordPress Forum.

    Hi!

    Nice plugin, btw. great :-)

I have a question: Is it possible to localize the plugin? Or that depends of default .po file in WordPress?

It should be localized. Most of the translation files are living with the events calendar plugin.

I love the events calendar so far. I’ve just installed it and customized it today. Thought everything was ok so I also installed the Eventbrite.
    Problem…
Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_version() in C:\Program Files\xampp\htdocs\energy_talk\wp-content\plugins\eventbrite-for-the-events-calendar\eventbrite-for-the-events-calendar.class.php on line 88
Can you help please? In simple terms.

    Thanks.

    I love the event Calendar.

I have tried to install Eventbrite 2x now, and each time it shuts down my blog with the fatal error:

Call to undefined function curl-version() wp-content\plugins\eventbrite-for-the-events-calendar-eventbritefor the eventscalendar.class.php

    I am running php 5.3.1

I haven’t yet updated to WordPress 3.0 because some of the feedback has indicated there was a problem with the event calendar upon updating. So I’m still using 2.9.2

    Please help.

    I found it.
Had to take the ; off of the following ( in php config file)

    ;extension=php_curl.dll

Now I’ll see how it works.

Sorry to bother it, it had me stymied for a while.

I’m back, seems that the change to the php memory wasn’t the answer.

So today I deactivated Eventbrite and lo and behold, no more stacking problems. So there is some kind of conflict going on.

When customizing The Event Calendar, I copied the .css file into my theme/events and then made my changes. Is it ok to have the whole .css plus my changes in /events or is this duplicate causing a problem?

    Any other ideas are welcome.

Seems like I’m talking to myself, but that’s ok, I’m a good listener.

I’ve just bought your version 3.0 Event Calendar and haven’t had much time to do anything with it other than customize it into my 3 column theme. Looks great.

Tricky though, you changed “tec-content” to “content” and part of my customization used “content” so I had to change yours back to “tec-content”

I’m about to activate Eventbrite again. I hope here’s no problem with the stack overflow now. I’ll let you know.

Nope, didn’t come together. When is the pro version due out? Hopefully it will meld together.

By the way, it wasn’t version 3, but it was the pro version.

    BUG ALERT

The .tec-calendar-buttons do not switch between calendar and list. It stays in calendar mode.

    Hi Ann,

Just to let you know, we don’t do support on this blog. Justin is providing support for the open source EB plugin at http://wordpress.org/tags/eventbrite-for-the-events-calendar?forum_id=10

Sorry my friend, we do not provide support on the open source plugins. Perhaps someone in the open source forum can be of service.

We are working on Event Tickets Pro, which will integrate with Events Calendar Pro. It is a couple months out.

It appears that support is not being done on the other site either. The most recent update to the thread addressing the failure of the eventbrite plug in is 3 weeks old. This is an excellent idea and when it works it’s very useful. I’ve paid for the Events plug in explicitly to support this function. Do you expect to get it working again?

Not working on the open source plugin at the moment, but we will be releasing a premium version that is significantly approved in the near future.
