Both Start and End dates showing in sidebar widget regardless of settings

Hi,
Have been successfully displaying the start date ONLY on sidebar events (home page) til the latest upgrade. Now, no matter what boxes I tick or untick, start date and end date show. Tried deleting the widget and re-adding – same problem. Thanks in advance for assistance!

+1 here on http://www.skootkidz.com, see the footer area, right-side where I’ve put the Advanced Upcoming Events widget.

Widget settings seem to work on/off for the other items, like showing venues etc, but it always shows the start AND finish time, regardless, which looks untidy.

Just replace the code in the file or the file itself in /wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/views/events-advanced-list-load-widget-display.php

However…when I try to replace the entire file with this I get strange references in the widget where the start date usually is…

I’ve also tried to replace the code as Jonah suggested manually, but it just seems to remove the time, not the dates. Am I doing something wrong here?

I removed line 46 to get rid of the “Start Date: ” bit.

I REALLY hope the next update will fix it – it wouldn’t be a “new” feature, it’d be restoration of functionality on a feature that USED to work fine but that doesn’t (without customizing the file called “events-advanced-list-load-widget-display.php”) as of the latest version. That’s my understanding of it anyway. Thanks the responses Leah!

This will be fixed in the next release – it didn’t make it into the hotfix release so we’ll need to wait. Until then, you’ll need to apply the patch by simply replacing the events-advanced-list-load-widget-display.php with the patched file linked here: http://cl.ly/code/2g3x3R0c0z1s
