Hello,
Looking at buying the Facebook Addon for a few clients. However, I would like to know how does it deal with categories that are setup in the WP dashboard? For example, when the events are automatically imported from Facebook events what category do they go into? Is this something that has to be done manually?

It does not Import Events with a category that would have to be manually done, they all have no category on import. That is a limitation from the Facebook Events API.
