I’m trying to decide between the two calendars but can’t tell if Calendar Pro allows the user (person listing the event) to input his or her own data, like the Community events calendar does. In either case, I would want to be able to screen and edit the submission and then send it back to the per son submitting it for final review and approval. Do both calendars have these capabilities?

    Hi Marcia,

Thanks for posting, and for your interest in our products. Events Calendar PRO adds a lot of cool features to your calendar, but it does not include the ability for users to add events to your calendar from the front end of the site. Anyone who needs to add events to the site would need to be a registered site user with the necessary user permissions.

If you want your users to be able to submit events from the front end, without getting into the admin side of your site, Community Events is what you want. You can set it so that all submissions are set to Pending Review until you decide to Publish them. There’s no built in way to send the events back to the user to review. However, you can set it so users must register on your site and can see and edit their own events, so you could do that just using email.

    Does that answer your questions?

    Best,

    Leah
