When I adopt the default events template, practically all text color seems to change to #ffffff (or something near to that). I cannot figure out what might be causing this to occur. See the following links…the text is there but the font color has changed:

I’ve tried disabling all plugins to isolate the issue but that hasn’t yielded any results. Our site is http://www.advancingcompassion.org.
Thanks, in advance, for any guidance.

Looking at your website now it looks like this is resolved. Can you please confirm?
Thanks,

Sorry to hear it’s not resolved. Do you need to use the ECP templates? It’s probably something to do with using the ECP templates, the wrappers used by the CSS in your theme templates are not present. You can do a few things to remedy this:
1. Switch to using the ECP templates and modify your CSS to apply whatever styles need to be applied to get the proper text color/background or other styling.
2. Switch to using the ECP templates and add the necessary wrappers in the before & after HTML in the ECP template settings or add them to the template files themselves.
I hope that helps!

August 26, 2012 at 12:29 pm #24133TonyParticipantThanks Jonah. I’ve got it figured out…I’m using fontific and simply selected the color to be used. Fixed it like a charm.
One last question, however. Is there a way to automatically abbreviate the Events List (http://www.advancingcompassion.org/events/) *without* using the “more” tag?
August 27, 2012 at 12:08 pm #24152JonahParticipantHi Tony,
Ahh, glad to hear you sorted that out.
On the Event List button, do you just want to change the text?

August 27, 2012 at 6:09 pm #24162TonyParticipantNo, I’m interested in making it an excerpt of the post rather than having it be a complete repeat of the full post. I’ve seen many other sites using ECP that have shorter Event List listings but I wonder if that’s because the event description is short. If that’s the case, I guess the read more tag is the best/only option?
August 27, 2012 at 6:23 pm #24163JonahParticipantAhh, I gotcha now. The plugin should automatically use the excerpt if one exists. If one doesn’t exist, then it will use the full content. If you want to auto generate excerpts there are a few plugins out there that do this. Here is one: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/auto-excerpt-everywhere/
I hope that helps but let me know if you need anything else.
