When adding the iCal to a Google Calendar, it will only show the current month’s events. But based on other posts, it appears http://terrasancta.org/events/?ical=1&tribe_display=upcoming should display all upcoming events, but it is not. I’ve looked at all the settings, tried various suggestions I’ve found, none of which worked. The person using this just reported the problem – I don’t know how long this has been going on.
April 23, 2014 at 8:41 am #140468BarryMemberHi! The iCal link on the upcoming events page is slightly different than the one you posted:
http://terrasancta.org/events/upcoming/?ical=1&tribe_display=list
On visiting it it seems to behave as expected and is not limited to events from this month. Does that help at all?
April 23, 2014 at 9:36 am #140541terrasanctaParticipantI know that was one of the links I tried, and I just tried again adding the link to Google Calendar and it returned the error “Settings Error – We could not parse the calendar at the url requested.” So I tried adding the link on my smart phone, Outlook 2013, and Outlook.com calendars, and in all three of those cases it did work as expected. So I tried a several different Gmail accounts, and the same error occurred. I don’t know if Google maybe changed something or if this is something unique to just this site and/or the multiple different accounts I have tried it on.

It does look there is one final entry in your iCal feed that looks a bit odd. Here’s the data:
BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;VALUE=DATE-TIME: DTEND;VALUE=DATE-TIME: DTSTAMP:20140424T123101 CREATED:0 LAST-MODIFIED:0 UID:0--@http://terrasancta.org SUMMARY: DESCRIPTION: URL: END:VEVENT
With this in place I can replicate the error – but if I remove it the import goes smoothly in the case of Google Calendar. Trying to pin down why this is being added is the next logical step but what I’d suggest – since this is essentially is a separate problem to what you initially reported – is breaking this topic out into a new thread (and, before creating it, please do take the time to run through our normal troubleshooting steps – ie, deactivate all other plugins and switch to a default theme and then see if you can replicate the same problem).
One of the team will then be happy to help. Since it looks like we cleared up the initial confusion with regards to the correct iCal feed URL though I’ll go ahead and close this thread.
Thanks!
