I’m not quite sure what the problem is. When I look at your event link, I see this https://cloudup.com/c3Xh1IZCYJk which looks to have an organizer website displayed (beacloudgenius.com). When I look at the Eventbrite link, I also see an organizer link https://cloudup.com/cu0zN3E78nZ. Is that not what you expect? I’m kind of scratching my head on this one.

There’s a couple of reasons that might be happening. One possibility is that the website wasn’t sent over initially when the event was first sent to Eventbrite and changes aren’t being passed through. Regardless of what happened, the best way to resolve it at this point it to go to the Eventbrite site and enter the information there.
Will that work?

February 24, 2014 at 6:22 pm #108944Cloud GeniusParticipantThis issue is consistently reproducible and needs a resolution. Appreciate your help.
February 24, 2014 at 10:40 pm #109016Cloud GeniusParticipantGoing to eventbrite and editing would be a workaround not a resolution to the issue which I believe needs a fix in the plugin behavior I think. Let me know if you need more data so you can reproduce the issue on your side. Thanks.
February 25, 2014 at 6:12 pm #109484Julie KuehlParticipantHey lvnilesh,
OK, here’s what we found when we tried to replicate the issue. With The Events Calendar + Eventbrite Tickets plugins, organizer information beyond the name is not passed from WordPress to Eventbrite. So we were able to replicate it and it appears to be functioning as designed, which may not be the answer you were hoping for. If there is a matching name already in Eventbrite it will use information from that existing organizer, so while you may have to add the URL over there, you should only have to enter it once for each organizer. If you need help doing that, the Eventbrite support team will be happy to help you out.
Does that make sense?

February 25, 2014 at 7:29 pm #109511Cloud GeniusParticipantI used existing organizer Cloud Genius and created

https://www.evernote.com/shard/s3/sh/eed93ff2-cfb8-4148-ab37-5ebfd7171ff3/026e1de8d7f31943e68b6e5d16ade4dd
I see that the issue persists.I then go to eventbrite and add website info for the organizer named Cloud Genius.
I now see the issue is mitigated through manual edits on eventbrite.
However, Then I go create another event using the plugin

https://www.evernote.com/shard/s3/sh/6d2346c5-4a53-484d-b3dc-2cb06a92869e/86a04eb058d445cc1e4a00ae042a174cand the issue reproduces again when a new event is pushed using the same organizer through even though I made sure that this particular organizer detail is edited to include Website info on eventbrite.
February 25, 2014 at 7:34 pm #109513Cloud GeniusParticipantThe plugin seems to overwrite when it finds a matching name in Eventbrite even when I made sure to manually add the URL for the organizer over at eventbrite. This is defective behavior IMHO and needs a fix please.
February 26, 2014 at 6:23 pm #110044Julie KuehlParticipantHey lvnilesh,
Hmmm… let me test it out again and get back to you. I thought we had tried that, so I’m going to check it out one more time. I’ll get back to you tomorrow with with an update. I apologize for the delay.

February 27, 2014 at 3:43 pm #110526KellyParticipantHi, lvnilesh. I’m sorry for the confusion. Let me see if I can clarify things for you. 🙂
In the Eventbrite system, there are two distinct places to edit organizer info: the individual event editing screen and the Organizer Profile page (linked from “My Profile”). The place to edit the content if you want it to “stick” is on the Organizer Profile page.
If the Eventbrite organizer has no description configured in on their Organizer Profile page, then The Events Calendar attempts to insert information there. If there is existing content in the “About the organizer” field on the Organizer Profile page, then it is respected.
Is it possible that you were editing the field in the event editing screen on Eventbrite? That would explain the data being overwritten.
February 27, 2014 at 10:18 pm #110692Cloud GeniusParticipantLet demonstrate the problem one more time.
I edit and update the organizer profile screen under “my profile” not the individual event editing screen.
I see the event shows my manual updates which is a good thing until I push through one more event via the plugin and I reproduce the problem. Plugin seems to use three fields for an existing organizer: 1. Phone, 2. Website and 3. Email. The bug is that the plugin pushed null for Website that leads to the issue you see in this screenshot.
February 28, 2014 at 9:03 am #110868KellyParticipantHi, lvnilesh. Thanks for taking the time to walk me through the steps you’re taking. That’s very helpful!
If that’s the case it does sound like it bears more testing on our end. Let me shoot this over to our dev team and see if they can see if there’s something that we can locate on our side that would be the culprit.
Thank you for your patience! 🙂
March 5, 2014 at 5:47 pm #115597KellyParticipantHi, lvnilesh. Good news! 🙂
Right now, there isn’t an appropriate filter for the data being sent. To make this happen we’re having to add some functionality to the plugin, but it looks like we’ll have a solution for you once the next version of the plugin is released!
So, please stay tuned! Thanks so much for your patience!
March 5, 2014 at 5:50 pm #115601Cloud GeniusParticipantneed ETA for the plugin update please.
