I updated my license keys and updated to 3.8.1 versions of Events Calendar Pro, The Events Calendar: Community Events, and The Events Calendar. I did all of this on my staging site, because I expected there to be some issues, so you’ll want to go to http://pjv.staging.wpengine.com/.

Now when I click “Events” in my menu, which is set up to point to upcoming events at http://pjvoice.org/events/upcoming/#.VEkuXovF-0Z, it redirects to a random post from 2013.

    Hello,

Sorry for the issues you are having. I can help troubleshoot this with you. I took a look at your site and see the redirects.

    This link worked for me:

    http://pjv.staging.wpengine.com/events/

    But not this one:

    http://pjv.staging.wpengine.com/events/upcoming/

So it looks like some kinda of conflict.

I understand this is not a 404 error, but can you follow the steps on our Guide here to resave your permalinks and see if that changes anything:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/troubleshooting-404-errors/

Also do you know why all the urls have this added to them:

    “#.U9-CEYBdUrw”

Not sure if that is causing a conflict or now.

Let me know what you find out and we can go from there.

    Thanks

    Brian,

Saving the permalinks did work! I wouldn’t have thought to try that. Thank you. I have no idea why random characters are added to all the Event links – it’s been that way from the beginning, so I assumed it was just that way w/the plugin. What do you think?

Your Welcome, glad it solves the issue.

Not sure where “#.U9-CEYBdUrw” is coming from.

I have not seen that from our plugins before. It could be another plugin(or ours) or in the theme.

You maybe to follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide to find the source of the random characters.

If it is from our plugin I can help fix it, but if it is from your theme or another plugin you may have to turn to them to see about resolving the issue.

Let me know and I can try to help out either way as much as I can.

    Thanks
