After upgrading Event Calndar Pro view of single event stopped working – just not showing. On mobile phone it is still working.
    Check: http://www.bat-cave.pl
    Example of event: http://www.bat-cave.pl/wydarzenie/molly-nilsson/

    Howdy woodraf,

I am seeing the same thing on my mobile (Chrome for Android v4.4) that I am on my Windows desktop. What browsers and devices are you using? Have you tried disabling your theme or plugins to see if the issue persists? That is generally a great place to start so you can narrow down the issue.

Hi Brook! I turn off all plugins and tested default theme and still single events are not showing.

I’m using Mozilla Firefox (26.0) and also checked Internet Explorer on my laptop.

It looks that when you click on single event name that shows 404 site. When I turn off permalinks for a while it was possible to see single events. So what to do now?

    Howdy woodraf,

Thank you for testing it with plugins disabled. I am not able to reproduce any 404s on your site, and with every event I have tested I can view them fine. Just to make sure we are looking at the same pages and seeing different things, I am including some links and screenshots:

    – Single events page, found by going to your calendar and clicking on an event: Screenshot of what I see | Direct link to page
    – The page you initially linked. Though it is not a true example of our single-events pages like the above it is not generating a 404 and it is displaying event details. Screenshot of what I see | Direct link to page

When you click on those links, are you seeing something different than my screenshots? If so, would you mind providing screenshots of what you do see?Perhaps there is something on these pages that is not displaying as intended, if so please point it out. If you are seeing errors on different pages than the above ones, please provide us with direct links to those pages. Thanks!

When I click: http://www.bat-cave.pl/wydarzenie/molly-nilsson/ – I can see same thing like you ( http://snag.gy/KXvnj.jpg ) but it should look like this: http://www.bat-cave.pl/?tribe_events=molly-nilsson (example)

When I turn off permalinks (example: http://www.bat-cave.pl/?tribe_events=molly-nilsson ) everything works fine, but I need permalinks on my site.

    Hey Woodraf,

So if disabling permalinks fixes it this is probably an issue with relative linking. Perhaps a resource like a JS file or a CSS one that does not use a full URI in your template. Regardless this does not seem to be an issue with our default calendar single events views, which load fine as seen here.

Your site has a lot of customizations, which is great and it does look nice. However, when one of those customization glitches we can not provide much support for it. In this case the default views are working fine, so it is definitely a customization that is causing the problem. Considering that there is not much we can do to help you aside from basic generic advice like the above.

I wish I could be of more help.

Well, when I turn off all plugins and switch theme to one of default themes (Twenty Eleven) I have still same problem. Is there any possibility to turn off permalinks only for The Event Calendar when permalinks will still working on my site?

Sadly that would be no easy feat. You could search through the plugin code for anywhere “get_option(‘permalink_structure’)” is found and make sure to override it with an empty result. That would trick the plugin into thinking permalinks are disabled. Unfortunately there could easily be some complications with such a change, and you would have to deal with those as well. Not to mention that any future updates to the plugin would override all this.

The only idea I have left is that if you were updating from a 2.x version of the plugin then any template overrides you might have created would not be compatible with a 3.x version. You would have to redesign them using our 3.x themers guide: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/

    Hopefully that helps.
