Upgraded (aka Featured Events) for advertisers?

Is there a way to offer upgraded or featured event listings to advertisers through the Events Calendar plugin?

I have a local magazine-type website that lists (free) events in our area, but I’d like to allow organizers to pay for an upgraded listing – ideally at the time they submit an event. It would be great if this could happen automatically (but still subject to moderation). Can the Events Calendar do this?

Thanks for getting in touch! You could definitely do something like this using Event Categories and the Advanced List Widget. You could create a new Event Category called ‘Featured Events’ and then set up the List Widget to only display events from the Featured category (screenshot).
