Spring
A user-friendly tool makes it easier to manage applications from budding entrepreneurs
SPRING is an accelerator funded by the Nike Foundation and USAID to support the development of new businesses throughout South Africa and East Asia that aim to improve the lives of girls. To join the accelerator, entrepreneurs had to complete a robust application. The multistage application process was built in such a way that submissions could be made via extremely limited internet connections and mobile phones. Administrators were able to screen, evaluate, and process applications through an easy-to-use, easy-to-train tool.
To function well under imperfect internet conditions, the application process continually tracked progress, storing data both locally and in the cloud. Additionally, Modern Tribe built a custom scoring workflow to ensure that applications were fairly and efficiently processed.
